Annotation:
Khar Chuluu: A New Rock Art Site in the Mongolian Altai

The present paper describes the results of petroglyphic studies conducted in a remote region of Western Mongolia. The
paper briefl y introduces the Khar Chuluu rock art site discovered at the Khar Salaa River mouth in the Mongolian Altai in
2004. An attempt is made to date the petroglyphs. The most typical motifs are clearly mythological and related to ritual.
