Upper Paleolithic Portable Art in Light of Ethnographic Studies

This article addresses ethnographic evidence relevant for understanding the meaning of Upper Paleolithic fi gurines. Certain aspects of Siberian native art may offer new approaches to these works of Paleolithic art.
