Conducting IV (XX) All-Russian Archaeological Congress scheduled in Kazan 20-25 October 2014

The work of the Congress will be organized in the following areas:
1 Formation and development of cultural traditions in the Paleolithic of Eurasia.
2 Cultural processes in Neolithic Eurasia.
3 Problems of archeology Bronze Age Eurasia.
4 Cultural generality of the Scythian-Sarmatian and the world of antiquity.
5 Cultural and historical processes in Eurasia in the Early Iron Age and the Middle Ages.
6 Archaeology of medieval Russia.
7 Archaeological study of the medieval city.
8 The archaeological study of the Golden Horde
9 Archaeological materials as sources for the study of ethnic history.
10 Problems in the Study of primitive art.
11 Paleoecological factors in the history of ancient and medieval societies.
12 Multidisciplinary approaches to the study of ancient and medieval technologies and industries.
13 Preservation of archaeological heritage in contemporary Russia.
14 Theoretical problems of archeology and the history of archaeological research.
15 Computer technology in archeology.
16 Modern methods of field archaeological research.
17 Archaeology in education and museum building.

Within each direction will operate separate sections formed after collecting bids from potential participants in the congress. Part of the performances to be presented in the form of posters.

The novelty of the upcoming congress will be an opportunity to organize work on a competitive basis initiative section. To this should be sent to the organizing committee completed application on behalf of the two co-CEOs of the initiative section on the attached form with the list of speakers (at least 15), expressed a wish to be represented in the framework of the proposed section reports and denote them by topic. It is supposed to approve the applications of the considered three action section, whose work will be organized in parallel with the other sections of the Congress. Discussion on the action sections can give a new impetus to discussion of key issues and archaeological highlight the most relevant areas of research in domestic science.
